Newton-Conover has gone 8-1 against East Burke recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Red Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Cavaliers at 5:45 p.m.

Last Thursday, Newton-Conover sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Maiden. Stella Phillips had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Newton-Conover got from the refs.

Caitlin McElhone and Phillips scored both of Newton-Conover's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Meanwhile, East Burke and West Caldwell finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw last Thursday.

East Burke's draw gives them a new season record of 2-11-2. As for Newton-Conover, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5-3.

Newton-Conover was able to grind out a solid win over East Burke in their previous meeting back in March, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
