Dwight hadn't done well against Reed-Custer recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Trojans came out on top against the Comets by a score of 2-0. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Comets, too.

Dwight not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Reed-Custer between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

Dwight has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. As for Reed-Custer, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Dwight and Reed-Custer will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Trojans will challenge rival St. Bede at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Reed-Custer is set to face off against their familiar foe Streator at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
