Softball Game Preview: Lakeridge Pacers vs. Aloha Warriors

The Lakeridge Pacers will head out on the road to take on the Aloha Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeridge is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Lakeridge came up short against Gresham on Monday, falling 16-5.

FINLEY DICKSON and MILLIE MACKENZIE did some serious damage despite the final result: DICKSON scored a run while going 2-for-4, while MACKENZIE scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That run was DICKSON's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of REGAN LEE, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Aloha, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past South Albany 15-8 on Tuesday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

Aloha let Brooklyn Sweatman and Nalana Warfield run wild. Sweatman went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Warfield went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Avery Dimeo was another key player, scoring four runs while going 3-for-5.

Aloha kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Lakeridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Aloha, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Lakeridge took their victory against Aloha when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pacers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
