Softball Preview: Lakeridge Pacers vs. Aloha Warriors
The Lakeridge Pacers will head out on the road to take on the Aloha Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeridge is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
Lakeridge came up short against Gresham on Monday, falling 16-5.
FINLEY DICKSON and MILLIE MACKENZIE did some serious damage despite the final result: DICKSON scored a run while going 2-for-4, while MACKENZIE scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Aloha let Brooklyn Sweatman and Nalana Warfield run wild. Sweatman went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Warfield went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Avery Dimeo was another key player, scoring four runs while going 3-for-5.
Aloha kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Lakeridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Aloha, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Lakeridge took their victory against Aloha when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 12-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pacers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
