Volleyball Recap: Chicago Mt. Carmel Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Chicago Mt. Carmel hadn't done well against St. Laurence recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Caravan walked away with a 2-0 win over the Vikings. The Caravan were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Vikings, so the Caravan were just returning the favor.

While Chicago Mt. Carmel won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11.

Chicago Mt. Carmel has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for St. Laurence, their loss dropped their record down to 14-14.

Looking ahead, Chicago Mt. Carmel will head out on the road to face off against Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Laurence, they will welcome Fenwick at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are facing the Friars at the right time seeing as the Friars are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
