The SkyView Academy Hawks will take on the Clear Creek Golddiggers at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. SkyView Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, SkyView Academy came up short against Dawson School and fell 10-5. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clay Cosart was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Kaden Morrison was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Clear Creek was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 9-2 to Lyons. The Golddiggers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Clear Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Lewis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Clear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for SkyView Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. SkyView Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Clear Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

SkyView Academy took their win against Clear Creek when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1 score. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Golddiggers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
