After a string of seven wins, Geneva's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Northland Christian Cougars by a score of 2-1. The Eagles were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but the Cougars' pitchers proved too tough.

Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Northland Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8-1.

Geneva does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northland Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Tomball Kings at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
