Recap: Thurston Colts vs. Dallas Dragons

The Thurston Colts had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Dallas by a score of 37-24 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Thurston sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Leading Thurston to victory were Walker Bonar and Noah Blair. Bonar picked up 179 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Blair threw for 326 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.3% of his passes. Bonar's longest reception was for an incredible 95 yards. Ethan Burkhead and his 104 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Thurston's win.

Thurston pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.5 points per game. As for Dallas, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Thurston will head out on the road to face off against Wilsonville on Friday. Wilsonville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Thurston likes a good challenge. Dallas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
