After a string of four wins, Statesboro's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 55-48 to the Bradwell Institute Tigers. The match marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ja'Caiden Cone, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Muhammad Shareef, who posted 12 points and six boards.

Even though they lost, Statesboro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Bradwell Institute's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylin Sweat, who went 6 for 8 en route to 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Stevens, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Statesboro's defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-3. As for Bradwell Institute, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Brunswick the next time they take the court. Statesboro will head out to face Brunswick at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Bradwell Institute will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
