Basketball Game Preview: Stringtown Tigers vs. Colbert Leopards

After both having extra time off, the Stringtown Tigers and the Colbert Leopards will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stringtown's defense has only allowed 29.3 points per game this season, so Colbert's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Stringtown is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Tushka just ended the team's five-game winning streak back in December of 2024. They fell to the Tigers 44-39.

Meanwhile, Colbert was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rock Creek.

Stringtown's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Colbert, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Stringtown took their win against Colbert in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 41-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stringtown since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
