Football Game Preview: King Wolves vs. Moorpark Musketeers + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Colton* Zeen and Logan Moon are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The King Wolves will head out on the road to take on the Moorpark Musketeers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. King has given up an average of 28.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

King is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Great Oak on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wolves were dealt a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Wolfpack. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

The losing side was boosted by Ben* Major, who rushed for 62 yards and one score, and also picked up 92 receiving yards. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 85 yards.

Even if they lost, King's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Justin* Coute, Troy* Truitt, and Mark* Cadena, who each picked up one sack apiece. Coute was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles.

Meanwhile, Moorpark entered their tilt with Buena on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Bulldogs 49-16. The Musketeers' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

King's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for Moorpark, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. King has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 235.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Moorpark struggles in that department as they've been averaging 169.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
