Baseball Recap: Eastside Early College Has No Trouble Against LBJ Austin

It was a proper cat-fight when Eastside Early College duked it out with LBJ Austin on Friday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 18-5 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Pedro Leon looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Joseph Nuncio was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Aydan Aguilar was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five runs and one stolen base.

Eastside Early College always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Eastside Early College's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for LBJ Austin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-16.

As of now, neither Eastside Early College nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
