The Vikings have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for GlenOak, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Hoover will square off against Brunswick at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
