St. Anne had lost 19 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 1-7 to make it 20. They lost 11-0 to the Donovan Wildcats. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 16-5 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

For Donovan's part, Laylah Lou Walters made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Walters has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
