Softball Recap: Ouachita Comes Up Short

Ouachita was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 16-7 to the Harmony Grove Cardinals.

Mylee Crow was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Tynlee Efird also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Ouachita's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Harmony Grove, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Ouachita and Murfreesboro will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 4:30 p.m. on March 31st. Murfreesboro has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.29 runs per game on average), something Ouachita will no doubt try to take advantage of. Harmony Grove will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Two Rivers at 5:00 p.m. on April 1st.
