Football Recap: Elizabeth Takes a Loss

Elizabeth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 33-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Minutemen of the 28-27 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Elizabeth still got an impressive performance from A'Rique Fleming, who rushed for 27 yards and a pair of scores.

Elizabeth's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bridgewater-Raritan, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Elizabeth will face off against Morristown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bridgewater-Raritan, they will take on Hillsborough at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
