16 must be Eureka's lucky number: they beat Central with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Tornadoes beat the Raiders by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-11. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-11 on Thursday.

The win made it two in a row for Eureka and bumps their season record up to 3-10. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Eureka will head out to square off against Flinthills on Monday. Central will be paying especially close attention to the Tornadoes' contest: after the Tornadoes face off against Bluestem, they'll take on Central again.
