Soccer Recap: Jackson County Comes Up Short

If Jackson County was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Westmoreland last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jackson County Blue Devils fell just short of the Watertown Purple Tigers by a score of 7-6 on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (four), the Blue Devils still had to take the loss.

Jackson County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Watertown, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson County will take on Upperman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Watertown, they will face off against Marshall County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Marshall County will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Watertown surely won't give up without a fight.
