Baseball Recap: Clovis West Comes Up Short

Clovis West was the 2-1 winner over Clovis North when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Golden Eagles took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Clovis West saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Steward, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Clovis West's record is now 14-12. As for Clovis North, they moved to 21-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Clovis West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
