Baseball Recap: Calipatria Comes Up Short

Calipatria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 16-4 to the Hamilton Bobcats. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Calipatria saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izaak Uribe, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Calipatria's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Hamilton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calipatria will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bonsall at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Hamilton, they will take on Temecula Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
