Football Recap: Moody Blue Devils vs. St. Clair County Fighting Saints
Moody had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed past the St. Clair County Fighting Saints to the tune of 55-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Blue Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Fighting Saints are ranked 117th).
Leading Moody to victory were Jake Lowery and Le'Kamren Meadows. Lowery threw for 288 yards and five TDs on only 15 passes, while Meadows rushed for 106 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards Meadows has posted since back in October of 2024. Jalijah Rutledge was Lowery's top target, picking up 96 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Moody's defense stepped up as well, laying out Landyn Smith. 14 times. Cam Mallory and Dezron Mobley were the leaders of the group effort as each produced three apiece. Henry Smith is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last 18 games he's played dating back to last season.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Moody, racking up 13 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Josiah Dozier, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Moody's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for St. Clair County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Moody has already played their next game, a 31-28 win against Helena on the 19th. As for St. Clair County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-9 victory against Center Point on the 19th.
