Basketball Recap: Struthers Takes a Loss

Struthers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Poland Seminary Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 713th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 244th).

Struthers' loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Poland Seminary, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Struthers will square off against South Range at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Poland Seminary, they will take on Hubbard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
