Volleyball Recap: Canyon Crest Academy's Loss Ends 24-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Canyon Crest Academy and Francis Parker squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Canyon Crest Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 3-2. The Ravens were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lancers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Canyon Crest Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Francis Parker into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-16, 25-22, 24-26, 15-13.

Canyon Crest Academy's loss ended a 24-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 41-3. As for Francis Parker, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-12.

Canyon Crest Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Francis Parker, they will challenge Mater Dei at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Monarchs will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight.
