Soccer Recap: Palmetto Snags Ninth Win in Last Ten Games

Palmetto kept a clean sheet against True North Classical Academy on Tuesday. They came out on top against the True North Classical Academy Titans by a score of 2-0. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Titans are ranked 93rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Abigail Pereira was the driving force of Palmetto's attack as she scored both of Palmetto's goals, bringing her season total up to 11 goals.

Palmetto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those ten games. As for True North Classical Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.

Palmetto didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Lourdes Academy on the 16th. True North Classical Academy has also already played their next match, a 7-0 victory against Somerset Academy South Homestead on the 16th.
