Baseball Game Preview: East Bladen Eagles vs. Perquimans Pirates

The East Bladen Eagles will challenge the Perquimans Pirates on Tuesday. East Bladen will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

East Bladen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Oxford Prep by a score of 4-1. Four seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Perquimans came out on top against Tarboro on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Vikings. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Perquimans got a great performance from Cameron Goodrow as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Coley Drew was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

Perquimans has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Bladen, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10.
