Baseball Recap: Munroe Triumphs

Munroe's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Gadsden County Jaguars as they made off with a 22-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won four in a row.

Munroe got a massive performance out of Jaylen Moore, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those RBI marked the first that Moore has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Jon Gay, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Munroe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .735. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Munroe's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Gadsden County, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Munroe will challenge Wakulla Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gadsden County, they will take on FAMU DRS at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
