Softball Recap: Newport Comes Up Short

Newport fell victim to Lloyd Memorial and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Juggernauts. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Juggernauts: they've now lost seven in a row.

Newport's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Lloyd Memorial, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-8-1.

Newport wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-1 defeat against Holmes on the 30th. As for Lloyd Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-0 victory against St. Henry on the 30th.
