Baseball Recap: Hurricane Comes Up Short

Hurricane lost to Dixie on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Flyers by a score of 8-6. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bryce Fortune was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jack Stewart was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Monte, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Hurricane's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Dixie, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-10.

As of now, neither Hurricane nor the Flyers have any future games scheduled.
