Cypress Lake not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 12, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Dunbar Tigers 3-0. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

While Cypress Lake won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-22.

Avery Gulatta paced Cypress Lake's offense, picking up 14 kills. Gulatta got some help from Lilly Witz and her 12 assists. Kiara Olivares controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Cypress Lake now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Dunbar, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Cypress Lake will square off against Southwest Florida Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dunbar, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against East Lee County on the 21st.
