Basketball Recap: Hicksville Aces vs. Fairview Apaches
Hicksville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They slipped by the Fairview Apaches 43-42. The team ran away with 29 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.
Garrett Turnbull had a dynamite game for Hicksville, going 8 for 18 en route to 19 points plus two steals. Turnbull's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jayden Rosalez was another key player, posting eight points plus six rebounds.
Hicksville will venture away from home to challenge Montpelier at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairview, they will welcome Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
