Soccer Game Preview: Elkhorn North vs. Norris

The Elkhorn North Wolves will head out to challenge the Norris Titans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Elkhorn North is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Bennington, who was ranked third at the time (Elkhorn North was ranked 16th). Wolves came up short against the Badgers on Monday, falling 4-0. The loss continues a trend for Elkhorn North in their meetings with Bennington: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Norris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Lincoln Lutheran/Raymond Central/Parkview Christian.

Elkhorn North's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Norris, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Elkhorn North took their win against Norris when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wolves since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
