Baseball Recap: Eunice Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Eunice entered their tilt with Loving on Saturday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Falcons 14-6. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 10-0 victory last Tuesday.

Isaac Morales and Fernando Serna did most of the damage at the plate: Morales went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases, while Serna went 1-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. That's the most stolen bases Morales has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Coy, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Eunice lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Eunice's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Loving, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eunice beat the Falcons by a score of 3-2 later that day.
