Football Recap: Buena Falls Despite Big Games from Blake Eberhard and Jaxon Roberts + How To Watch

Buena was the 23-19 winner over Fillmore when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs lost 41-17 to the Flashes on Friday.

Buena's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaxon Roberts, who rushed for 61 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and Blake Eberhard, who rushed for 37 yards and one score.

Jasiah Patterson went supernova For Fillmore., rushing for 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Those 200 rushing yards gave Patterson a new career-high. Thomas Alamillo was another key player, gaining 112 total yards and two touchdowns.

Buena now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fillmore, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Buena will head out to face off against San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fillmore, they will host Grace at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Flashes will need to watch out since the Lancers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
