Panguitch has gone 8-2 against Piute recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Panguitch Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Piute Thunderbirds at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Panguitch comes in on nine and Piute on seven.

Panguitch proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 22) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Valley 50-47.

Panguitch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddix Johnson led the charge by putting up 19 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Johnson has posted since back in January of 2024. Remme Chappell was another key player, scoring eight points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Piute posted their closest win since December 28, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged Milford out 66-63.

Panguitch pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points over those games. As for Piute, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.

Panguitch beat Piute 60-48 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Panguitch have another victory up their sleeve, or will Piute turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
