Volleyball Recap: Aurora West College Prep Academy Wins Going Away Against DMLK

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Denver Waldorf, Aurora West College Prep Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the DMLK Panthers 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

While Aurora West College Prep Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-13, 25-16.

Jason Rumong paced Aurora West College Prep Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Rumong got some help from Erick Uriarte and his 24 assists. Rulon Butler controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Aurora West College Prep Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for DMLK, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Aurora West College Prep Academy has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against STEM School Highlands Ranch on the 28th. As for DMLK, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Kennedy on the 25th.
