Maize is a perfect 10-0 against Haysville Campus since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Maize Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Haysville Campus Colts at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Maize and five for Haysville Campus.

Last Friday, Maize ended up a good deal behind Valley Center and lost 42-25. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Hornets are ranked 95th).

Meanwhile, Haysville Campus took a blow against Hutchinson on Monday, falling 69-18.

Haysville Campus got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Emerleigh Cooper and Addison Wood, who each put up five points. Brooke Pfeiffer held things down on the boards with four rebounds. Madilyn Harris took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Haysville Campus' loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Maize, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12-1.

Maize was able to grind out a solid win over Haysville Campus in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 45-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maize since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
