Basketball Recap: Red Lodge Skates Past Joliet with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Columbus, Red Lodge was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 63-32 win over the Joliet J Hawks. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the J Hawks: they've now won seven in a row.

Tayler Metzsch went supernova for Red Lodge, going 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points and seven steals. Red Lodge is undefeated when Metzsch posts three or more steals, but 3-11 otherwise. Maycee Garmann was another key player, putting up 13 points and six boards.

Red Lodge was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Red Lodge's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Joliet, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Coming up, Red Lodge will square off against Shepherd at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. Joliet has already played their next game (against Park City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
