Basketball Recap: Waldron Piles Up the Points Against Eminence

There's no place like home for Waldron, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-20 win over the Eminence Eels. For the Mohawks, this counts as revenge for the 51-50 victory the Eels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2020.

Leading Waldron to victory were Ethan Moody and Lucas Shaw. Moody posted nine points along with six boards and six steals, while Shaw scored 12 points and five rebounds. Waldron is 4-2 when Moody posts three or more steals, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Jones, who put up four points in addition to eight boards and five blocks.

Waldron smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Waldron is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Eminence, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Waldron didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-40 win against Jac-Cen-Del on the 18th. Eminence has also already played their next match, a 55-33 defeat against Edinburgh on the 18th.
