Soccer Recap: Atkins Comes Up Short

After flying high against Winston Salem Christian two weeks ago, Atkins came back down to earth. Atkins fell 3-1 to the Mount Tabor Spartans on Monday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Atkins couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Charlise Grimes, who's now up to seven this season.

Atkins' loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Mount Tabor, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Atkins didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-0 win against Ben L. Smith on the 18th. As for Mount Tabor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 0-0 draw against R.J. Reynolds on the 19th.
