Dk Chapman Jr. Turns in Season-Best Effort

Dk Chapman Jr. produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Midlothian to the win on Friday. Chapman Jr. rushed for 112 yards and four touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

The win (which was Midlothian's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Chapman Jr. and Midlothian will head out on the road to face off against James River Midlothian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bryce Sowers Delivers Best Performance of Season

Midlothian was led to victory by Bryce Sowers, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Sowers rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made four total tackles.

Powhatan had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Sowers it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Sowers saw the Indians), he rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown.

Johnson Came Up Big in Huguenot's 41-14 Win

Huguenot picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Linwood Johnson. Johnson turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 244 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground.

Huguenot's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Johnson and Huguenot will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cosby at 7:00 p.m.

Huguenot Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Iveon Lewis

Iveon Lewis's big game helped extend Huguenot's winning streak to seven on Friday. Lewis did his part (and then some), picking up 72 receiving yards and three touchdowns for the 'W'.

This year, Lewis has caught 11 touchdowns while averaging 98 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five receiving touchdowns.
