On Wednesday Gavin Love tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The performance also marked the fewest walks (one) Love has had since back in April of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than two hits. This year, he has an ERA of 6.13 over 8 innings pitched.

Looking ahead, Love and Buford will be playing in front of their home fans against Legion Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will enter the matchup having just beaten T.L. Hanna, so the Yellow Jackets will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
