If Navasota was feeling good fresh off their 59-20 takedown of Bellville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Navasota Rattlers fell 36-28 to the Smithville Tigers on Tuesday. The Rattlers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Navasota's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 18-10. As for Smithville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Navasota will head out to face off against La Grange at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Smithville, they will venture away from home to take on Bellville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
