Baseball Recap: Collins Comes Up Short on the Road Against Lumberton

Collins kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Lumberton Panthers by a score of 6-5. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Collins saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was CHIKEZIE MCLAURIN, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

The win (which was Lumberton's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lumberton beat Collins by a score of 12-5 on Friday.
