Preview: Haughton Buccaneers vs. Parkway Panthers
Haughton is 2-8 against Parkway since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Haughton Buccaneers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Parkway Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Haughton has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29.
Last Tuesday, Haughton had to suffer through a rough 56-22 loss at the hands of Captain Shreve. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Haughton has scored all season.
Meanwhile, even though Airline scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Parkway still came out on top. Parkway had just enough and edged Airline out 62-59. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Parkway as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.
Haughton has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season. As for Parkway, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-14.
