Soccer Game Preview: Gray Collegiate Academy vs. Brookland-Cayce

The Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Brookland-Cayce Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Gray Collegiate Academy comes in on seven and Brookland-Cayce on five.

Gray Collegiate Academy proved they can win big last Monday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over South Aiken. Junior Gonzalez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Gray Collegiate Academy.

Meanwhile, Brookland-Cayce's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Gilbert 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Brookland-Cayce as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Gray Collegiate Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three games. As for Brookland-Cayce, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
