Softball Recap: CORE Butte Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for CORE Butte's offense. They came up short against the Los Molinos Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 7-0. If the Lynx were looking for revenge after losing 13-3 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

CORE Butte saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mara Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

CORE Butte has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Los Molinos, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1-1.

CORE Butte has already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against Chester on the 2nd. As for Los Molinos, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Hamilton on the 7th.
