Basketball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. The game between them and the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians didn't end well, with the Madison Trojans falling 57-39. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 564th, while the Indians/Lady Indians are ranked 64th).

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Carlyle, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Mater Dei at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. As for Carlyle, they will challenge Greenville at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th.
