Softball Game Preview: Clyde Bulldogs vs. Jim Ned Indians

Clyde is 9-1 against Jim Ned since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will take on the Indians at 5:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Clyde has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Jim Ned will arrive with three straight victories.

Clyde fell victim to Wall and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The match marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Clyde saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brileigh Dailey, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base. Dailey is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Jim Ned and Merkel have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Indians never let the Badgers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Clyde's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Jim Ned, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Everything went Clyde's way against Jim Ned in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Clyde made off with a 19-5 win. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
