Basketball Recap: Asheboro Drops Highest Score of Season Against Thomasville + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Asheboro). They came out on top against the Thomasville Bulldogs by a score of 67-55 on Tuesday. For the Blue Comets, this counts as revenge for the 76-56 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Despite the defeat, Thomasville had strong showings from Zy'Iveon Holmes, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Jay Jackson, who posted 17 points and seven boards. Holmes' big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Danarius Gibson, who put up seven points.

Asheboro's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Thomasville, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Asheboro will face off against Rockingham County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thomasville, they will take on Bishop McGuinness at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
