Dilley posted their closest win since April 2, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Freer Buckaroos 9-8. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jonathan Eguia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Eguia was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Isaiah Lambert was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits.

Dilley's record now sits at 8-3. As for Freer, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Looking ahead, Dilley will take on Hondo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dilley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Freer, they will square off against Premont at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freer also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 8 runs per game.
