Baseball Game Preview: St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints vs. Episcopal Maroon

For the second straight game, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes will face off against Episcopal. The Saints will face off against the Maroon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

While St. Stephen's & St. Agnes' victory against Episcopal wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Saints had just enough and edged out the Maroon 5-4. The win continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Maroon: they've now won eight in a row.

For Episcopal's part, Charlie Wilhelm was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Wilhelm was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Wilhelm wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Truman Albright, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

St. Stephen's & St. Agnes' victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Episcopal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15-1 record this season.
